Guests have their choice of continental breakfast, served from 7:00 to 9:30, or hot breakfast meal served at 8:30 or 9:00.
The continental breakfast buffet includes fresh fruit, oatmeal, Karen's homemade granola, fresh scones or muffins, yogurts and coffee, tea, hot chocolate and various juices and milk.
The hot breakfast is different each day. After consulting with the guests and local suppliers, Bob choses the daily menu from a variety of recipes both savory and sweet. We have had many requests for recipes, so we are getting them posted on our recipes page.
The sweet dishes Bob prepares include Dutch apple baby, crèpes with fresh fruit fillings, stuffed French toast, Swedish pancakes, special coffee cakes, multigrain pancakes or Red, White and Blue Waffles with fresh strawberry syrup.
On the savory side, Bob cooks various strata recipes, French style omelets, fritatas, breakfast tacos, quiche and the famous Eggs Meritage.
If you see something you like, mention it while making your reservations so Bob can add it to the menu. All hot breakfasts are accompanied by sweet breads, scones or muffins, breakfast meat if desired, fresh fruit, juice, and coffee, tea or chocolate. The hot breakfast is served in the dining room.
Fresh homemade cookies, fruit and other snacks are available at all times in the continental dining room shown at right.
