Redmond Washington is known better for rain than snow.We get snow on the average a couple of times per winter. Last night was one of those times. We got about 4″ of wet snow overnight. It would have made great snowmen, but not good skiing. The snow stuck to everything, so the trees are really bent from the snowload. Just because it is so rare here, we had to get pictures and find as much enjoyment as possible because it is likely to be melted tomorrow.
The snow did melt out the next day, but an overnight windstorm did lots of damage to the snow-laden trees. It was very beautiful in the quiet solitude of the snow covered forest, but less so with 20 alders down in our pond. That is all cleaned up now, and the pond is a bit more open for the changes.
